My Story
Hey there! Welcome to my page. I’m a math nerd by day, big dreamer by night and a relentless human soul by every waking second.
I thrive for knowledge, kindnesses and the indomitable human spirit. It is my most precious privilege to have this life and so I try my hardest to make its torch burn as brightly as possible and impact my human family for generations to come.
One of my most daring dreams is to build schools around the world. Education has opened unimaginable doors of opportunities for me. I want to pay it forward and create a path of more possibilities for other children too. Over the past 5 years, I have run more than 40 marathons, raised almost $300,000 and built 8 schools on 3 different continents. Running for schools has become a mighty purpose of my life. I have run on Antarctica, the Great Wall of China, and in the Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia. My future races will take me to Kilimanjaro, to Mount Everest and to the North Pole. I train really hard and push my body beyond measures but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Follow my journey and if you can, please support my dream. Every dollar counts and goes towards schools.
I believe helping others is one of the greatest byproduct of our human existence. Thank you so much for your unwavering support and endless love.
Grateful and Humble,
Sandra
Sandra, you are such an inspiration and I am very proud of you! Many of us dream about doing something…but it takes a lot of courage to actually DO it. xoxo

Thank you Marcela! It means so much coming from you. You are an inspiration as well. I will never forget the first day we met and you told me about all the charity you did abroad, teaching math in developing countries. We clicked instantly, remember? Then we talked about Nicholas Kristof’s book – Half The Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. I loved that day and I ❤ you!
